The world is a cacophony of color, light, texture, and shape.  Bright, dark, vivid, muted.  Warm, cool.  Lines, curves, patterns.  Coarse, smooth, prickly, silky.  The colors and shapes draw me in and invite me to notice delicate details and fascinating impressions.  At times I am saturated with a single color, which upon closer observation reveals a myriad of tints and hues.  In a bi-tonal impression, I discover a world of motion.

With my photography I invite the viewer to join me in taking notice of the world about us - from that which is obvious and perhaps taken for granted, to that about which we are practically oblivious.  Photography has focused my attention.  It has allowed me to become mindful of what I see when I simply open my eyes.
